Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week, a sacred journey that leads us from celebration to reflection, from joy to the cross, and ultimately to the hope of resurrection. On this day, we remember Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem, where crowds greeted Him with palm branches and shouts of “Hosanna!”—a word that means “Save us now.”
At first glance, it is a moment of triumph. Jesus is welcomed as a king. The people lay down their cloaks and wave branches in honor, expecting a powerful leader who will change their circumstances. Yet, Jesus enters not on a warhorse, but on a humble donkey—revealing a different kind of kingship. His mission is not rooted in political power or earthly dominance, but in peace, humility, and sacrificial love.
“Trinity International Church is a safe, welcoming, community of Christ-followers who uphold a high view of Scripture, celebrate unity in diversity and participate fully in the abiding Christian life as described in the Bible. We are united by the principle that in the essentials there should be unity, in all else there should be charity.”
