Conversation with The Disappointed

Sermon 25 May || John11:1-37

Jesus’s conversation with Martha and Mary addresses the issue of disappointment, especially with the loss of Lazarus and the failure of Jesus to be present to heal. The conversation teaches us two things—

1-Death does not have the last word

-it is not a closure but a commencement

-it is not a destination but a transition

2-The resurrection is more than you think

-it is not merely a future reality but a present one

-we live in the already and not yet tension
