Sermon 18 May || John 7:1-9
Jesus’s conversation with his brothers is a bit testy. He leaves them—and us—with two challenges—
1-Approach time with intentionality—be mindful of the times we are in
2-Approach life with conviction—be mindful of the growing evil
Discussion Points
- 1-For his brothers, “your time is always here.” What was Jesus inferring? What does a life look like where any time will do?
- 2-Jesus also made this statement to his brothers, “The world cannot hate you.” It was not a compliment. With respect to the world, what would Jesus say about us?
- 3-Would it have mattered to his brothers if Jesus went to Jerusalem and was killed?
