This week (April 6) our sermon was from John 1:43-51
We looked at the first conversation with Nathanael, the Skeptic. All of us have some doubts. Jesus challenges us to invite him into our lives; experience his presence, his life now that the heavens are open (John 1:50-51). But this requires the following—
-becoming truly present in the moment to what God is doing
-listening to whatever he might be saying
-being aware of where he is taking us
-intending to be available to whatever he is summoning us to do
Discussion Questions:
1-what are some of your doubts? What explains them?
2-what are the parallels in Jacob’s and Nathanael’s lives and their divine experiences (Genesis 28; John 1)
3-do you see yourself as present to God?
