Have you ever missed an opportunity and lived to regret it? Several years ago one of my congregation members had a stroke. Although we were all quite shocked and surprised to hear the news we were also comforted to learn that it was not a major stroke. This sweet man that we all loved was expected to make a full recovery. My associate pastor phoned and told me he was on the way to the hospital to visit and pray with Don and asked if I wanted to join him. I don’t remember what was so important at that moment but I do remember telling him I’d make my visit tomorrow in the afternoon. That night Don had a second, massive, stroke and went to be with the Lord. I had missed my chance and I live with that regret still today. Not all opportunities will wait for you. Sometimes the best course of action is to take action right away. That is how I feel about the upcoming ALPHA COURSE.
Trinity Church has a dedicated team of people who have been preparing to launch an ALPHA COURSE for several months. I have been praying for more than a year that God would make a way for us to host this amazing opportunity. ALPHA COURSES are intentional small group settings where the gospel is presented in a conversational and highly relational way.
