This Coming Sunday represents another fantastic opportunity to be “On Mission, Together,” at Trinity Church. We have both the Annual Congregational Photo and the All-Church BBQ after the Sunday Service. These times where everyone is gathered together in one place are an important part of our identity as the “Community of Trinity International Church.” I hope you will join us and will invite at least one neighbor, friend, or co-worker to join in the fun. While it is important that we grow deeper together, it is also important that we grow wider by inviting those outside the Church to come. Many people have expressed they belonged to the Church before they believed in the gospel. At Trinity we desire to be a place where visitors feel welcomed, safe, celebrated, and inspired.
Throughout Scripture, God forms His people into a community rather than leaving us to follow Him in isolation. From the fellowship of the early church in Acts, where believers devoted themselves to teaching, prayer, breaking bread, and sharing life together, to the many “one another” commands throughout the New Testament, we see that spiritual growth happens best in the context of authentic relationships. As we worship, eat, laugh, pray, and serve together, we reflect the love of Christ to one another and bear witness to the transforming power of the gospel.
Our gatherings also remind us that the Church exists not only for those who already belong but also for those whom God is drawing to Himself. Jesus consistently welcomed people who were searching, skeptical, and far from God, inviting them into relationship before their lives were fully transformed. When we intentionally create spaces of warmth, hospitality, and genuine friendship, we become a living expression of God’s grace. My prayer is that this Sunday would strengthen the bonds within our church family while also opening doors for new friendships and gospel conversations that God can use to change lives.
